CV/Bio

Sally Gilmour has been teaching and practicing art for over 45 years. Her career started in 1952 at the Albright Knox Professional School in conjunction with the State University of New York at Buffalo where she received a BS in 1956 and an MS in 1959 in art education. She then taught art at elementary through college levels from 1956 - 1995. She now provides adult art classes in watercolor and mixed media at her studio.

Artist Gilmour has participated in and displayed her work in many art events including: Western New York Art Show at the Albright Art Gallery, State University of New York at Buffalo, Staten Island Community College, Sarasota Art Center, FL, Dunn Gallery in Half Moon Bay, CA (one of the top 100 galleries in the US), Gallery One Artists, FL, Tidewater Gallery, NC, The Gallery Shop at the Orlando Museum of Art, FL, and numerous private collections. She has attended workshops with: Gerald Brommer, Maxine Masterfield, Polly Hammet, Barbara Nechis, Pat Dews, Cheng-Khee Chee and Pat Weaver.

The artist is a member of the Central Florida Watercolor Society.
